FMHSkid-It may be your unweighted GPA that has set you back. While your weighted is good, they do look at that unweighted GPA, because it has significance. You have a pretty good class pick, and seem to be pushing yourself. However, I wouldn’t expect them to look at the community service hours. I had 800 of them, and it really doesn’t matter to them. It’s the grades and test scores. Have you tried the ACT?

With a 3.7 GAP and a 1930 SAT, you should have had already been accepted. SUGGESTION—
If I were you, recontact admissions by phone, e-mail and regular snail mail. By utilizing all three different methods, this will ensure that you will have contact with three separate individuals rather than just one UCF student (working the phones) and inquire if everything has been properly submitted and properly reviewed.
Also-
1000’s of community service hours doesn’t really count-
UCF and ALL state supported schools are PRIMARILY looking for GPA & SAT / ACT scores. It is all a numbers game.

Accepted Summer B =)

UW GPA- 3.4
W GPA 3.8

ACT-23
SAT 1140 overall 1750

I got an email telling me that my application status had changed, and I am accepted Summer 13. UCF is one of my top schools, should I go for it?! Anyone have experience with the summer term?!

No one else has posted anything about scholarships, so if you’re wondering how long it takes for the scholarships you’re automatically entered for when you apply, I got a letter (no email about it) for the Pegasus scholarship a few days ago (it takes an extra week or so for me to get mail though), and I got my acceptance on September 20th. So probably about a month or so, unless they do a bunch of scholarships all at once or something. Just so you know. But it shows up on financial aid awards before that (I didn’t know that, so I wasn’t checking…) (:

Do I have any chance in getting accepted into UCF Summer 2013?

Katie, I attended summer term this past summer, and then moved on into fall. If I was being honest, I think EVERYONE should do summer term. Yes, you lose your summer, but you have SO MUCH FUN. Plus, you’re much more prepared for fall term, then the fall students coming in. I already knew my way around campus, how to function, what to do and what not to do, had a solid GPA to start off fall, etc. The fall students I met this year told me they had wished they did summer term. While they were all at home, waiting for college to start, we got to start earlier, establish a group of friends. It’s positives far out weight the negatives:)
I LOVED summer term!

I’ve been waiting since August 28th and I know people who got accepted within a week. I really wanna call them on Monday but I don’t know what to tell them. Any suggestions?

Hi-
My name is musiclover9 and I have a question about the status of my application-
What’s my status ?
I’ve been waiting since August, why is it taking so long ?
When will I get an answer ?
Anything else I need to do to improve my chances ?
Thanks for your help, bye.

Just accepted for fall of 2013! Ahh so excited.

@Niquii77, my senior course load, on top of my Dual Enrollment: AP Human Geography, Calculus, AP English IV, and Business Software applications.

@WRITEfluidity, yeah i guess. It sucks, but it’ll come up by the time I graduate.

@ilovethe47, alright. I have only emailed, and that was awhile ago. I suppose I should call as well.

They could be waiting for my Nov 3rd. SAT scores though, maybe thats it? I dunno but I’m just worried because people with worse credentials have already been accepted.

The Housing Application is now open for fall 2013! If you plan to live on campus, register early for best priority. Application fee is $250. If you cancel by May they keep $100 as a cancel fee.

I got my acceptance notice today! I was surprised because my stats aren’t fantastic and I don’t have an community service hours. Here are my stats for anyone curious:

Unweighted GPA: 3.4
Weighted GPA: 3.9
SAT: 1150/1770
ACT: 27
ECs: French Club, NHS, Programming Team

My admission decision took a bit under 2 months. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Anyone else still waiting? I’m getting so nervous ughhhh! Oh and I have a 3.4 GPA and a 1600(1080) SAT so that’s not exactly helping!

Got Accepted less than a week after emailing lol. woo.

I’m looking for a roommate, so I really suggest we make a Facebook page…

here

https://www.facebook.com/groups/127114467443648/

Not sure if a “like” page would have been better, since a group might make it difficult to toss the link around. But I figured I’d make something.

For accepted to Summer 2013

Not stellar stats but here they are:
GPA: 3.37 he
ACT: 22
and 3 presidential roles for extra curricular

I would advise anyone applying to spill your guts out in the essay and why you can benefit from going to UCF

For anyone still waiting, JUST HAVE FAITH,
not trying to be cocky but they said they got my transcript on Friday and I was accepted on Tuesday so it can happen SOONER THAN YOU THINK

GOD BLESS you all in your application process, if he did it for me GOD WILL do it for you.
