I was accepted today I’m so happy!! It took about 3 weeks for my decision.
Go Knights!

Accepted today! :)

What exactly did you email them about? I have been waiting about 2 months and I recently emailed them (about 5 days about).

Email them that your excited to have completed the application and can’t wait to hear back on their decision…something around those lines.

How did you know you were accepted? Did you see the change in your “myucf” or did you receive a letter? or did they call you to let you know?
Waiting for about 2 weeks now.

I really want to attend UCF and I’ve heard many times that the summer term is the easiest to get into. Sadly I think my dreams are crushed because of an F in AICE math in the first semester of my senior year . . . UCF is my dream school and I REALLY don’t want to attend community college in my town. Other than the F I still have mainly A’s and and one C in AP Government. My gpa is 3.25 unweighted and 3.48 weighted, but this is before semester grades come out, my gpa maybe higher or lower. My SAT is 950/1450 and ACT is 19 but I’m retaking it. Really getting with stress, about to die or something. Do you guys think stats are good enough?

I think you may have a chance, did you take challenging classes in HE?

Hey guys, I applied for the Fall term on November 7th. My stats:
3.0 ucf gpa
IB Program all the way
1820 SAT
26 ACT (bleh)
Lots of ECs and Volunteering
Track and Field
African American

Do you think I should switch to the Summer B Term instead? This is my first choice school…I haven’t heard of anyone who’s been rejected yet but I can’t really find people like me with a lower gpa and higher sat…

@abby4beez-- my brother is in the same situation. he hasn’t gotten a decision yet and has no idea where he stands, can’t find any one with low gpa, high sat. he’s actually more extreme than you though-- around 2.9-3.0 gpa, 1970 sat. applied to fall term.
he’s not IB, but a bunch of AP classes, and his essays were good.

I have a 1710 SAT and a composite of 1110. My UCF GPA is a 3.5 and I have over 150+ community service hours as well as alumni recommendations. I’m in lots of clubs as well as SGA and so far I’ve been accepted into USF and FAU. But I applied back in late August and I still haven’t heard back from them, any reason as to why?

@Joshua850: HE? Well I actually started taking challenging courses in Junior year starting with DC American History, Chem and Algebra II Honors, and AP English Lang but I had drop out of the algebra II class . . .

@VogueGeek17 sorry I meant High School (HE). But if your class schedule is rigorous enough then I think you still have a shot, I honestly think the door is never truly closed for those applying for summer. Just pour your heart out in the essay!

GOD BLESS and good luck!

Okay, hey guys. I’ve been searching every where for anything on if any more admissions decisions have been made. I applied for the Fall 2013 term and my stats aren’t super impressive. 3.0 UW GPA (trying to get it higher this year through 7 AP courses, all of which I have A’s and B’s in and on track to graduate with a 3.6 GPA along with re-taking two classes online), 27 on my ACT and I’ve done a few EC’s school newspaper, marching band… I applied back in September and I still haven’t really heard anything and when I contacted admissions they basically said they could take all the time in the world because they’re on rolling admissions and they review each applicant individually. Just need to feel out my chances and see when others are getting their decisions. Thanks!

I got accepted! in september with a 1740 SAT 27 ACT. My GPA was a 3.62, I had NO ec besides playing volleyball, did not write an essay or have any letters of rec

But, don’t you think it ought not be about pouring your heart out? I really objected to the questions. I have had many obstacles to overcome in my life but I don’t want to sell my pain to some administrator as a condition for access to an opportunity to better my future. That stuff is private!

It is fundamentally wrong and a little sadistic.

You get a form letter. Calling doesn’t work. You get a script read to you.

I applied back in Sept. Heard from all my other schools – good news from them. But nada from UCF. It is beginning to feel a little rude! Maybe this is not the school for me, if all I am is a number and if this is their modus operandi.

What kind of guidance can I expect if I enroll, from a place that does this upon application? Will a professor ever know me personally in a place like this? Not likely.

It is the bane of a big school.

“Please check back here for updates to your admission status.”

Getting so very tired of seeing this.

I know some of you are still waiting and i’m rooting for all of you. Not too long ago I was in the same boat. The wait is worth it and you don’t need a 4.0 and 1800 SAT to get in (TRUST ME!) . Last week I was accepted for Summer with a 3.4 GPA and 1600 SAT score! I also had to wait 3 months for my acceptance. If I can get in with my extremely average GPA/SAT score all of you can. The wait is worth it. :)

I’m not saying it’s ALL about the essay and personal experiences, I’m just saying the essay reveals a different side of you that your GPA and Test scores can not.

So I just got in! I had a 3.5 GPA and a 1710 SAT.
