There was a guy on the subreddit for UT that got accepted to UT’s ECE program. He had an outstanding application GPA/course-wise.
Does anyone know if decisions go out over the weekend too?
Finally! My application is finally in review. Boy was I full of paranoia and apprehension for no reason.
@Toastyful Good news! I’m still waiting…
Awesome. I just applied for ECE program too. I should be hearing from them soon!
@Milyd1
If mine just recently changed, yours shouldn’t be that far off. Hopefully for international students, they will be treated similar to in-state transfers.
Accepted into COLA Dept of Economics today!

I have been stalking these threads daily for the past month and they have been very satisfying! Thank you! Congrats to everyone regardless of where life takes you.
@Toastyful Hopefully
Congratulations @ars2020 !
@Toastyful Are you international?
@Yoohooos
Yes I am.
This wait is the longest ever…
Does anyone here know how hard it is to change major in Cockrell School of engineering?
CNS!!! T.T I want my decision!!!
I think that the real question here is, Why do I check MyStatus everyday when I haven’t even sent my final transcript yet? Once the semester is over and I don’t have studying to kill time waiting, it’s gonna be killer. I check this page almost every hour. It’s so entertaining and fulfilling to see all of these acceptances.
I have a question for you guys- I am seeing “Your application for admission is in review” on TOP of the page, but on the SIDE, it says status: complete/on time. What about you guys?
@cagirl24 , yep same thing for me, since over 3 weeks now…
@cagirl24 same here. I think that’s fine though. I think as long as it says “In Review” on the top it’s fine.
Great. thanks Guys. Ok. I think I’m just so nervous I’m analyzing EVERYTHING… @aksamq8 @MyUTAustin
@Geekytheatregeek I am right with you. I am already stressed for no reason…
Any new updates??
They’re really ridiculously strict about changing engineering majors. You have to wait a year and have like a 3.5+
