i have yet to see a rejection on this thread , i noticed that
@MyLonghorn I noticed the same thing, makes me wonder…
@MyUTAustin I have not seen any CNS acceptances for this year so I do not know why you even have a category in that list of those people that got accepted.
Daily reminder that only COLA applicants have received a response
@HHxGGx , that list actually is just for the folks having applied. You are right, so far only COLA acceptances.
So as of now, COLA - 11 of 25 Accepted & McCombs - 1 of 4 Accepted
You can add me to the list of people that applied to Moody @MyUTAustin. First choice major: Journalism, second: unspecified business.
Sure @aksamq8 , will add it soon.
@aksamq8 did you apply to McCombs unspecified business as your second choice? Unfortunately, if you did they won’t consider you. You would only be considered for Moody.
@ecollin yeah I did. I just wanted to put down a second choice and since I’m minoring in business right now I figured I’d just put down. But I applied to Moody with my first choice as journalism which is what I want. My situation is interesting because I applied last year as a transfer under the same criteria and got in, but ended up declining because of personal reasons. This year I’m ready to transfer, so now I’m playing the waiting game all over again.
Oh ok, got it. McCombs will actually only consider you if you put them down as a first choice. But I am sure that if you got in last year to Moody last year you will get in this year too unless the competition changed drastically. They are not able to see that you declined the last time, so I do not think you have anything to worry about. Good luck! Hopefully this awful wait will be over soon @aksamq8
My daughter accepted to cola economics. Gpa 4. Ap 47 credits fall 15 hours. Notified 4/15 evening. Good luck to all
Thanks a lot @ecollin! Yeah my grades are about the same as last year and my resume is better because I stayed here and got an editor position at UNT’s school paper. Also had three recommendation letters and two good essays. So fingers crossed!
I don’t think my chances of getting into McCombs are that high. I’m an international trying to apply for 1st. McCombs, 2nd. COLA economics. The international part is probably the biggest factor if I do get rejected, along with other things.
4.0 GPA
27 AP credits
15 Hours Fall 2014
16 Hours Spring 2015
9 Dual Credit hours
67 Hours total.
Good essays.
No letters of rec.
Few extracurricular activities.
@tostyful do you have calc 1,2, micro and macro done?
@ecollin I already have AP credits for Calc 1, and micro. I’m currently working on Calc 2, and macro, which I don’t find to be much of a problem.
Anyone know if having a prereq in progress puts you in the “non-priority” category? I have 34 creds but Im still finishing up a required class right now, hoping I don’t need to wait until June like the <30 credit applicants
Well, I’d say no one in this thread has gotten rejected that we know of. I’d imagine the motivation to post a rejection is a lot slimmer… especially if most people are getting accepted. That being said - if you get rejected, please update! I know it’s sad but it’ll help out.
I agree @summeroo. Although, someone in last year’s thread wrote that the longer you wait, the better chance you have. Hopefully those who were going to be rejected have been already, and that from this point forward we will see acceptances. I hope that we wouldn’t have to wait this long just to find out we didn’t get in
Well, at least time seems to have moved quickly for me. It feels like it was only recently that it was March 1.
@ecollin Thank you and good luck to you as well!
Stats:
GPA:4.0
Credit hours: 43

All requirements completed.
I am really nervous about my decision. I called UT to ask and they said external students applying to McCombs will get their decision close to mid till end of may.
