@Dayeedkhan summer applicant-computer engineering

Admitted. College of Liberal Arts Economics.

CONGRATULATIONS!! When did you get your acceptance? Today?? @blahblahtexas

Honestly i cannot buy that thing that only one of engineering applicants were accepted.No offence please!! But it seems a bit weird.

@blacksheep1234 I am not quite sure what you mean with “doesn’t buy it.” It just shows that cockrell are taking some time sending out acceptances , just like many other colleges are.

@blacksheep1234 Here’s the person who got in, from reddit:

/r/UTAustin/comments/32psjh/im_in/

Scroll down to see his stats of when he applied.

It looks like he got in so quickly because he would have gotten in as a HS applicant and he’s not far removed from that with only one semester of college

@JD1327 i got it. That person applied for summer 2015 and not fall 2015 so that is why i got confused. Thanks

@MyUTAustin,

You can check my stats out at post 391 on page 27. Good luck.

My first choice is McCombs undeclared and second COLA economics @MyUTAustin

@cagirl24 thank you! Yes, I found out today on the my status page. I’m not sure if it was updated today though; a couple of days passed between the last time I checked.

@puthar96 , I’ve updated my list.

It’s moving so slow, we just got two acceptances and both from COLA alone. Looks like these could be the last we hear for this week as we heard nothing during the weekend last week.

Accepted! COLA. Political Science

Stats:

3.5 GPA
Multiple Organizations/Volunteer effort
Jr. Transfer
60+ Credits
Previous CAP but I elected to attend another University for 2 years (wrong choice, I should have CAP’d!)

For future consideration:

I applied as a Sophomore Transfer and was not accepted.
The major difference between this year and last was I found the major I loved and I think it showed in class everyday. I had professors that wrote stunning LORs, I owe them many thanks.

Hook 'em Horns!

@HEH2015 , congrats :slight_smile: , so happy for you, hope I hear for me too soon…

\m/ ! To God be the glory! #Hook 'em

Hi, glad to see acceptances are rolling out. @MyUTAustin my major for COLA is economics but I was not enrolled in any classes this spring which is probably why I got a decision so early.

Has anyone heard anything from the College of Natural Sciences? I applied well before the March deadline and its just a waiting game at this point, but every time I call to check on when the majority of acceptances are going to roll out for students with 30+ hours, they keep pushing me back. First it was Mid April, Early May, Mid May, and when I checked yesterday, I got June 1 at the earliest. I’m coming in from GaTech, so its frustrating with registration over and fee deadlines fast approaching.

June 1st? You have to be kidding me… :frowning:

Not sure if this has been addressed, but there is a big scandal with UT admissions right now. This might be the reason for all the delays and conflicting reports of when we are supposed to hear back.

Sounds like those working in admissions are under extra scrutiny. It makes sense that they are taking longer this year than in years past.
