I know we are going to get our decisions in may now. April has ended already.
Hey guys, please update if we have any rejections. This will help this thread as well as people watching it for future transfers.
Sigh. I really thought I would know by now.
I heard back from A&M, lets see how much longer does UT take!!!
This is a little inconsiderate on their part… some people need to know if they have to renew their leases or put in their two weeks at work… not to mention getting a place to stay in Austin. 8-X
Agreed…everything is on hold…
Hey there, just waiting patiently to hear back. Its been suspenseful…
Anyways my statistics are:
-Current School: UNT
-GPA: 4.0
-Hours: 60 Including this Semester
-CNS-Computer Science first choice
-Electrical Engineering second choice
-Essays are good, not great
-Classes: Cal BC AP Test, Linear Algebra, Probability, Majority of core classes done
-Two letters of recommendation
-I work as a tutor for the school I’m currently attending for computer science
-Few volunteer hours
-Few extracurriculars
@FearsomeFerret HEY I’m from UNT as well! Caw caw.
I got signatures from the professors so it should count. I printed out the same form from the Common Application that most other schools use
We’re all gonna be stuck in freaking 8am classes if we dont get admitted soon because everyone is probably making their schedules already… ugh
You don’t pick a schedule until orientation. You won’t even have access to the registration page where all the classes are listed.
Do they reserve space for transfers who didn’t have 30 hours before the deadline? My gpa is going to be in the 3.9s but I still need to submit my Spring 2015 transcript before the review my application.
I’m applying to Cockrell : First choice ECE 2nd choice Mechanical
Still waiting to hear back from Moody (Advertising 1st choice)/COLA (undeclared). Made a 3.4 last semester, but I checked the financial aid tab like last month and for some reason it said my GPA was a 3.1? I’m guessing it’s because they took into account my high school dual credit? Although under the “cumulative GPA” section it said that that information was “unavailable” or something to that effect. Confusing.
I don’t know, I asked an admissions counselor if he could clear this up and all he said was that they review applications holistically… Which didn’t calm my nerves at all. I’m super anxious to get a decision, but I’m hoping they hold out until mid May so I have a chance to submit my Spring 2015 transcript. Any words of advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated lol
@Dayeedkhan did you get into TAMU PE!?
Yep @MathMeany I got into PE. Wby?
@MathMeany you heard back from TAMU?
I also heard back from TAMU, and I’ve got accepted for electrical engineering. Still no word from UT yet.
@Dayeedkhan yea, for some reason (still not sure exactly why) I switched my major to Aero at the last min-I build multirotors as a hobby. I was accepted
Admitted to CNS - Computer Science (1st major choice)
More info:
GPA: 3.92/4.30 == 3.89 / 4.00
Credits: ~90 Quarter Credits
Math: Calc, Discrete
CS: All lower division except data structures and algorithms
Essays: meh
Recommendations: None
I have been given until 5/5 to decide but I won’t get financial aid for 2 weeks. UT is my third choice, I’m out of state from another 4-year, and won’t hear back from my other schools for some time. I’m not sure what to do…
Congrats yall
