I’m in the same boat. I had a 3.8 last semester (15 hours) and I just finished my last final and I will have a 3.7 (18 hours) I had 5 classes last semester (4As and 1B) and this semester I have 6 classes (5As and 1B) the trick is though that that 1 B is in a 4 hour class. Will this be bad because GPA wise it isn’t a positive trend even though I technically got more As?
I honestly do not think that you need to worry about smaller changes in GPA, as long as it’s not a drastic change or you fail a class. I was accepted to A&M and I think I needed to get something like a 2.5 GPA to ensure my admission. I know they are different schools and that UT is more competitive, but I doubt the policies are too different.

I really think it’s maybe 50/50 for me to be accepted, I’ve already been accepted to Texas State, I am just wondering if should keep waiting or cut my losses and move on. Any opinions?

I’m in a similar situation @iaintpunchy. I’m not sure if years of work experience will help us…but we can only hope. Otherwise it’s off to Texas State for me as well.

Can a 3.93 be competitive for PetE?
I hate that we got some acceptance mid April as expected and they’ve been insanely slow since then. Why must they taunt us? On one hand I feel that there were a lot more than normal, but didn’t they recognize that during the time span in which they accepted transfer admissions? -.-
@yoohoos very sad to say , but i don’t think so unless you got like 5 rec letters and amazing essays and extracurriculars. for Pet E since they have so little spots , a 4.0 is practically a requirement, however you may get luck , so keep some hope and good luck

@Yoohooos , it’ll be very very close as PetE is highly competitive. I’m in the same boat as you and looking for ChemE with 3.934, same as your GPA. Good luck to both of us:). My essays were really good and very very focused on ChemE.
