Anyone know are there limits for number of LoR
@Yoohoos if don’t mind doing Civ E then you should’ve applied for like COLA and internal transfer cause internal transfer GPA into Civ E is like a 3.3 , also don’t think there are any limits… i read some guy submitted like 5 rec letters
Oh sorry didn’t realize it was for PetE. You should still be in the same shape as you were before this semester. a ~.02 difference in GPA is negligible even in competitive majors.
Whoever got rejected last year wasn’t rejected because of his grades with a GPA like that, he was probably rejected for other qualifications since there are so many other applicants with similar GPAs
@MyLonghorn So you are saying a B+ still ruining my chance for CivE?
I might have to leave the thread… No more chance for UT lollll
@Yoohooos I sent in 5 letters. They were all unique and added value. I dont see why they would limit the number of letters.
@Yoohoos whats your GPA now and you still might for Civ E
@Yoohooos You never know what may happen, so don’t completely lose hope.
I’m new to this thread, but from what I’ve read I haven’t seen anyone applying for chemical engineering.
If I’m wrong is there anyone applying for ChemE?
those that applied for on campus housing, did you get an email from the housing team today???
@ab1omo23 yes, did they put you on the waitlist too?
Yes, I got it too and they put me on waitlist as well.
@Yoohooos , Don’t give up man, we’ll see each other at UT this fall:). Better yet, prepare in case it comes up to a point we need to appeal. I’ll do the same. Our GPA’s are good.
@MyLonghorn 3.926
Yes they did. I just sent them an email because there is no new link for the housing on mystatus.
@Toastyful Thanks a lot!!
I just finished my semester of school last week, but I still have to wait for my professors to post my grades to my final transcript.
I have maintained my 4.0 GPA and I’m applying to Economics and my second choice is Undeclared Liberal Arts.
However, I’m really nervous as to whether or not I can be accepted since I’m one of the later batches to submit my 30 hours.
Do you guys still think I have a chance? Or should I apply to Moody as my second choice?
I feel really pressured because I wanted to make sure I had a place to live, so for now I’m rooming with my friend in an apartment, but I’ll feel really bad if I get rejected and I’ll leave her last minute to look for another roommate.
I just got my grades and I will be sending my final transcript tomorrow when the teachers submit the grades. I got all A’s in the four classes I took this spring.
Accounting 2
Government 2
Statistics
Intro to mass communication
I feel like I did a mistake taking stats and intro to mass communications(IMC) at lonestar because IMC is an easy credit that could have been earned at UT(assuming I got in) and the Stats credit might not transfer as statistics UT needs because UT wants students to take stats at Austin but I am not sure. However, I will appeal for my stats credit.
Anyways I still have the 4.0 and I am just really nervous if I will get into the McCombs business school or not. I am ending up with 43 credits. Here is a list of all the classes I took.
Calculus 1
Calculus 2
Accounting 1
Accounting 2
Macroeconomics (AP credit)
Microeconomics
History 1
History 2
Government 1
Government 2
English 1
Psychology
Statistics
Intro to Mass Communication
I have 4 recommendation letters(2 from professors, 1 from internship mentor, one from PTK), I have few internships and a lot of community service hours. My essays are good not great I would say idk.
If anyone could throw me a feedback of my chances getting into McCombs?
Thank you
PS I called admissions today because I had a transcript question and they said mid June for those with 30 hours and later for those that are just now getting 30 hours. Common knowledge by this point, but yeah. More confirmation. I’ll find out so late that the question won’t be “Can I get housing?” But “How far away from campus will I be?”
Welp, I just have to take one more exam before I can finally focus 100% of my energy into the waiting game. Calculus 2, you will be my bitch.
