Guy’s, if we need to mail them, you can send them to: The University of Texas at Austin
Office of Admissions
110 Inner Campus Drive, Main 13
Austin, Texas 78712
BTW, UT does allow us to upload the official transcript as well, see the details below:
College transcripts (during application process)
Upload copies: Upload a copy of an official transcript using UT Austin’s Document Upload System. This option is available only to transfer students; freshman applicants may not use the Document Upload System for college transcripts.
Mail printed official transcripts: To the Office of Admissions
Hand deliver printed official transcripts: To a UT Austin Office of Admissions location or representative
Electronic submission: Through the UT SPEEDE server (if available to college/university submitting the transcript)
You CAN upload transcripts. I scanned and uploaded copies of my official transcripts via the Document Upload System. One caveat–uploaded copies of official transcripts from OOS schools must include the front and back of each page (they want to see the legend).
HI guys I have been coming to this forum for months now and I just wanted to wish those that have been accepted a good luck and congratulations . Also wanted to mention I just saw I have been admitted to COLA although I wanted to get into CNS but I am still happy. BTW my GPA was a 3.35 with more than 30 hour creds.
Congrats @Yvp1293 , what were your 1st and 2nd majors
Thank you so much. 1st major was BIOLOGY CNS 2nd was Undeclared COLA
Hey guys, i have already submitted all my documents before 1st march since that was my deadline. I mean, can i submit a new transcript by mail? since i did pretty awesome in this semester, and i really hope the new transcript could give me more credits.
@MyUTAustin The FINAL transcript cannot be uploaded, I’ve said this many times now. If you read what it says in my status you cannot upload the final because the University wants to avoid tampering. The info I posted earlier still holds true. The only one that you CAN upload is the first one that you submit when the application is due. I also have called and spoken to admissions because everyone seems to claim that uploading is allowed. If you take the time to read the information i provided earlier it will make sense.
Here:
Final official college transcript - University of Texas Dallas
After you complete this semester’s coursework, you must submit a final official transcript from University of Texas Dallas that includes grades for the coursework you took during Spring 2015.
You may not upload this transcript.
You must mail an official copy to the university, hand deliver it to one of our locations, or have your college/university submit it to us using SPEEDE (if available at your college/university).
@TransferUTA , this is true too. But, the final transcript is the one that you’d send after we are accepted, along with that Bacterial Meningitis thing. For admissions office to make a decision, a transfer student is allowed to upload an “Official” transcript. I talked to admissions office today and they asked me to upload it as soon as I can.
@TransferUTA , since you said we need to mail an official copy, I’ll do that too myself, just in case…another $10…
@MyUTAustin so there is a difference between those two things. For me specifically they require me to submit it via the university because my application is incomplete right now. They said that they can only begin looking at it once this is sent. I’m confused cause it says for my application to be complete they need an official one and the lady on the phone said I cannot upload this…
I’m not saying you’re wrong I just don’t know what to do because the admissions says one thing and then they say another.
@MyUTAustin I spoke wit the admissions again and they said that only the transcript due on March 1st can be uploaded the one due with spring semester grades cannot. When I told her what it said about uploading the document being allowed she said that under the document upload options transcripts would not be in the list so the the only option is mail.
How were you able to upload your transcript?
My friend’s friend just got accepted to PetE today!
I don’t have all his stats but here it is:
4.0 GPA
Involved with STEM club and Society of Physics.
@TheThinker7 Was he for Summer or Fall. We had one Summer application getting through a couple of days ago too for PetE.
@TransferUTA I was able to see a transcript upload section and it shows up as “UNOFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT” under my Documents. BTW, I’d follow admissions directions and if they asked you to mail them, you should.
Forgot to mention, it shows up as “UNOFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT” under my Documents, after uploaded and reviewed by UT.
@MyUTAustin He applied for the fall.
So, I’m currently at Austin Community College in my first year, and I only had 16 credit hours when I applied for transfer. I’ll have 32 by next Wednesday, but I’m worried about my chances.
I’m applying for Journalism in the Comm school as my first choice, and Government in COLA as my second. My first semester was great: 4 A’s, 1 B (3.81 GPA), but I’ve been working 35 hours a week at my job plus my 16 hours of school, so I think I’m finishing this semester with 2 A’s, 2 B’s, and 1 C (3.46 GPA). My essays were really good, and my resume is awesome (go to forrestmilburn.com to see it). I also have one letter of recommendation from an alumna at UT. I submitted clips and stuff for reviewing as well.
How bad are my chances? I know my GPA is low, but my friend in the Journalism School said that the school really puts pressure on what students have done in the field, and I’ve already had an internship.
Please chance me! Thanks.
Also, last semester I had A’s in English I, US History I, Intro to Comm, Biology I and a B in College Mathematics. This semester, I have two A’s in TX Govt and Intro to Sociology; two B’s in US Govt and US History; and the C is in Biology II. I also had to withdraw from English II to replace it with Sociology.
Alright! I’m finally done with all my classes and can now focus 100% of my time and energy just waiting for my application status to change! Just have to play the waiting game until whenever…
Impressive @ForrestMilburn . I think your work trumps everything else. Also, staying in review for so long already confirms that UT is seeing the positives you have. I feel you will be in.
