Most of the news has been about Derrick Green. He checked in slightly heavier than expected at 240 LBS (he played at 222 LBS most of last season). Supposedly, the weight is not a concern at this time, but I expect him to drop to 230 LBS once the season begins in thee weeks. He supposedly also had a small injury in practice yesterday, but he should be fine before the season begins. Any other news?

This is summer/fall practice Alexandre! Only three weeks from the first game! :-)

Quite right rjkofnovi. Correction made!

Green’s out 2 weeks I heard

Eh from what I’ve been hearing it’s fairly minor for green. Two weeks would be precautionary, he’s got some sort of groin or calf strain, nothing huge.

So it is official. Green’s official status per coach Hoke: “He’s got a boo boo!” He should be fine. He is also not concerned regarding his weight gain. I cannot remember the last time we had a 240 LBS back. He will likely drop to 230 by the time we take the field against Central though. Either way, he is going to be hard to bring down.
