I know its a long time before summer, but i was wondering if there are any programs that are math/science related for rising sophomores. I'm thinking of CTY, EPGY, Oxbridge, etc.. Any other ones that are recommendable? I've heard of a gifted learning program at Vanderbilt (PTY), but i don't know much about it. Suggestions?

My daughter as a rising sophomore went to the Columbia summer program for high schoolers. She took the upper level Physics course and really enjoyed it.
PM me if you'd like more information.

I'm a sophomore this year (in highschool-- that's what you meant, right?) and last summer I did a program at Brown University.
If you go to brown.edu/summer and choose the MiniCourses, they have a TON of incredible classes available that go for varying lengths of time...
It was really fun, too. The campus is pretty awesome.

HCSSiM!!!
I went there as a rising sophomore and it was probably the best summer of my life. You get to learn really awesome math (number theory, graph theory, group theory, etc.) and paint yellow pigs on t-shirts.
