Hey does anyone know what classes we are supposed to be taking this summer? im really confused and i dont know which ones i should pick.

You'll have a chance to talk to an academic adviser right before registration, so don't worry about it.

No we actually dont, we only get to talk to an adviser for fall classes, but for summer we are on our own

I would recommend calling the dept you plan on majoring in and asking to speak to an advisor. Explain your situation and hopefully you'll be able to talk to someone that can point you in the right direction. If you're in Austin, you can stop by the dept offices, too.

If you can't get anyone on the phone, I would take a look at a degree requirements sheet (you can find them on the UT website) and pick a couple of general requirements like intro-level government, history, or english classes that you know you'll have to do. Remember that summer classes move a lot faster than regular semester classes, so don't try to bite off more than you can chew with really challenging classes.
