Summer Haas "BASE" program

has anyone already done this before? is there anything interesting you guys can tell me about it? is it worth it? for those who are thinking about doing it, is there anything you guys can tell me about it? im just looking for general information...

Where do you go to school now? What are you thinking of doing in future?

ucla, current major: mech E

I see. Maybe it's not worth it then, unless you are considering working in business. You have to pay quite a bit of money to do the Base program.

does anyone else know anything about this program?

Is it the one where you take like 4 intensive upper div (introductory business classes)? I read about it but it seemed like a waste of money to me. The introductory business classes for upper division are all really basic stuff like business communication and whatnot. The real meat of HAAS is working for big corporations in certain case classes and the specialized classes for the career path you want (strategy or accounting or whatever) and the networking.

I just pulled that out of my butt so if anyone wants to clarify or correct me go ahead.

the whole thing seems a little gimmicky to me.

yeah antagonis you were pretty much correct. although i think the whole point of the program IS to get students introduced to business so its not supposed to be as "meaty" as you said
