summer homework for next years ap classes?

do you have any?

read three/four books for ap eng lit. on demand essays when we get back. how wonderful.

yea. I got summer HW. like 4 classes worth I think.

you won't believe this. No homework whatsoever in AP English. Unbelievable. There excuse is that everyone goes to Sparknotes.com to get the answers and doesn't ever read the books.

Hellarious!!!

that is funny my teacher makes tests that are difficult to pass. i remember when i has to read a tale of two cities that i had to match 10 people to 25 questions and the questions.i did not do so well but on the list there are 30 books and there is alot of ec

I have to read 2 novels even though it isn't for AP English! It's for just an advanced English class, since if I got in AP English, it would be 3 novels for me!

2 novels English AP, 1 Gov/EC AP

Some Chem work. For Eglish, I have a choice of pairs of books to read. The, 30 dialectual journels on each. I think im gonna do Wuthering Heights & One Hundred Years of Solitude. Anyone read these/know if they are good?

For AP Language, I have to read The Grapes of Wrath and keep a response journal where we keep notes about characters, style, themes, symbols, etc. Then, we have to cut out a bunch of articles that appear weekly in a newspaper or magazine. We are supposed to keep a personal journal where we write in it daily. And, there is a list of books that we have to choose one book from to read. Pretty much sucks.. could be a lot worse i suppose

I have to read 3 novels for ap eng. and hist., write two essays, and i have a test on the first day of school. yay.

i have like twenty books to read (no joke) and about five full length essays for ap english alone. then add on another three books of case studies for enviromental science, whole thing on different conjugations and whatnot for french (and another BOOK in french? aaaah) AND a lot of problem sets for calc. + three decent drawings for portfolio...

man, summer is gonna be like going to school... at home

I only have homework for stat and it was a really easy packet of mostly algebra 2 stuff. I finished it in an hour during physics on the day i got it. I feel bad for those of you who have to read so many books.

we have to read LoTR (fellowhip, and two towers) over the summer for AP English Lit. thats all the hw i have. but they're soooooo long and booring. oh well, i got cliff notes for it

I've read the books but even though the movies weren't completly accurate I enjoyed them more. I think with cliff notes and watching the movies you'll be ok.

Next year I have..

AP Lang
AP Calc AB
AP French
AP Econs: Macro & Micro
AP Physics C: Both
AP Comparative Government & Politics

and no summer homework for any of them. Is that a good or a bad sign? How about you guys recommend some for me?

Hm..btw, we read Grapes of Wrath this year, in 10th grade English..soo...yeah. It's not that hard.

nothing except for the usual summer reading assignment, plus an ap data sheet I have to fill out for lit..

The seniors at our school have a 23 page packet for Calculus, 3 novels and 3 reports for Ap Eng and 4 chapters for Chemistry

For AP Spanish Language, we have to read "El Delantal Blanco" and take a few quizzes and also do some other listening activities online.

ap lit- jane eyre (kill me now), heart of darkness, brave new world, and crime and punishment

ap gov/macro econ- 1984, freakonomics

great....

For AP Bio, we have to read the Ecology and Evolution sections of our books (like 5 chapters) and some worksheets that will be collected. We have to read and take notes on the first 3 chapters for AP chem, plus there are some extra credit problems. For AP Calc BC, we just have a bunch of problems to do. At least it will give me something to do this summer...
