Hi, I recently received an invitation from UT for a certain Summer Honor Chemistry Program. Sounds pretty interesting and something I'd like to be a part of. The cost is alright, ~4000 for 9 hours (6 in chem, and 3 in the optional intro to research). I'm just wondering if it's a good idea, the cost isn't too out of reach...what I'm more concerned about is leaving Houston for Austin that much earlier and living in Austin from June 13th - August, having classes every weekday. Also, does anyone know about housing? I have scoped out a place to live off campus with some friends during the regular semester, but probably wont move in there until August, so will I stay on campus? My orientation is also scheduled during class time...how will that work out? In addition to this question, my most important would have to be this: is it worth leaving home early, finding a place to live (I don't mind on campus), and paying a couple of thousand dollars to take CH w301H, CH w302H, and NSC 309 Intro. to Research?

An interesting note, the chemistry classes are honors I presume (they have H after their course number), and I was not accepted to Dean's Scholars, the only honors program I applied to.
