<p>My son was just invited to apply for this two-week seminar for incoming freshmen. The letter said that 30 students will be selected. Does anyone know how big the applicant pool is from which the 30 students will be selected?</p>

<p>Only National Merit Scholars are invited. The exact number differs from year to year, but I think it is typically 100+. <p>Jon, Thanks for the quick response. One of the things that really impresses me about Texas A&M is that they monitor this forum and try to answer questions if they can. This is not the case with other university forums. Kati has been great to work with and I will contact her directly.</p>
