Summer Honors Program and Orientation

I got into the Honors program and i was informed that im required to go from Jun 29 to Jul 2. I was wondering what i should bring?

This is from the Honors website:
What to Bring:

* Sleeping bag (or twin sheets and blanket) and pillow

 • Towel and washcloth
 • Toiletries (shampoo, soap, and toothpaste)
 • Clothing Tip: Riverside is quite warm during the summer months and cool, casual dress is appropriate for SUHP. A light sweater or jacket may be desired for evenings. Bring clothes hangers if you wish to hang your clothes (dresser drawers are provided).
 • School supplies (notebook, paper, pen)
 • Alarm clock
 • Water bottle
 • Any instruments or materials you might need if you want to participate in the SUHP Talent Show!
 • Spending money for incidentals (snacks, UCR items at the Campus Bookstore)
 • Any other small items you wish to bring.
 • You should NOT bring a computer. There will not be a working Ethernet connection in your room. The University is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Students who bring valuable items do so at their own risk.

see you there!

ill see you guys there also. im pretty excited. only 3 more days

hai!
my names jon! i come from the bay area yeee!! how about you guys?

do people really bring sheets/sleeping bags? x_x

i come from OC

I went to regular orientation, and they provided a pillow, a sheet and a blanket for the bed. If anything, bring an extra blanket in case I’m wrong or if you’ll feel cold (you probably won’t).

As for the clothes hangers – I just put all my stuff in a backpack, but if you really hate wrinkled clothes that much… do whatever you wish.

I used my phone as an alarm clock.

But then again, this is the “Honors” orientation. Regular orientation didn’t have a talent show. Maybe it’s different in other ways too.

so pillows, sheets wouldnt be necessary? i think it would be too much of a hassle to take them
