Summer housing, finding sublets

<p>Looks like we’ll be on campus this summer, and I was dismayed to find that no single dorm rooms are available for summer housing.</p>

<p>In fact, only Ridgecrest East is available, and it is filling up. Only four person suites are available there.</p>

<p>Since son would like to have a single this summer if he is to stay in Alabama again, I was wondering what resources he could use to find a summer sublet, preferably a single, in a gated community.</p>

<p>I’m sure there is Craigslist, but wondering if there was a unique site for the Alabama community itself. </p>

<p>I wonder if you could contact East Edge directly and see if they have a sub-lease board? Maybe the other complexes directly too?</p>

<p>Contact East Edge. While the leases prohibit subleases to individuals, many residents are posting them on FB. East Edge requires residents to go through the leasing office to sublease, but many residents are not. I’m sure you’ll find something there.</p>

<p>I’ve seen many sublet posts on the UA ride share Facebook group page.</p>

<p>My D has seen several listings by students needing to sublease on the Honors College group page on FB.</p>

<p>craigslist has sublet listings. Google craiglist tuscaloosa then go to the link that deals with rentals.</p>
