Summer Internship at Stanford

<p>I was looking at this internship that I just discovered was wondering how selective these internships at Stanford are:

<p>I just discovered it and this is my first time applying for something. The deadline is Feb 12 and it was posted sept. 8, 2014. Will it hurt my chances that I will turn in the deadline super close to the due date? Or should I wait for next year, and turn in the application early? Also are these internships super selective? Thanks. I don't want to put $195 down the drain. Will this increase my chance of getting into Stanford itself?</p>

I applied to at the early decision and sent in my application about a week and a half before it was due and was accepted. I’m not sure if will increase your chances of getting in to Stanford or not but it will for sure be a good experience. Good luck!
