Summer Internship Class Credit

<p>I'm doing an internship this summer and the employer told me that a lot of schools have a summer class where you can get credit for doing an internship over the summer. Does Duke have something like this?</p>

<p>If not, a local school gives credit for doing a summer internship. Should I get credit from this school and somehow transfer it to Duke?</p>

<p>You can apply to use a summer internship as independent study credit at Duke, but it’s a bit of a hassle. You have to find a Duke professor to sponsor and approve your independent study, you have to write a plan on what you hope to learn/achieve, and you have to write a paper about it when your internship is over.</p>
