Summer Internship help!

Hey all,
First off, I just want to ask your opinion. Would it be better for me to take summer classes over the next two summers and graduate a year early or should I rack up internships?
If you think internships would be good, do you have any suggestions on where I could apply for the summer?
(I'm a freshman at NYU 3.75 GPA in GSP majoring in Economics/Mathematics, 4.115 GPA in HS 1260 SAT ouch 600 V 660 M, I've also had 1 internship on Wall Street during my first semester at FGI Finance as an Inside Sales Rep)

I live in NJ, but I'm willing to live in the city if there's an available internship here.

Thanks!

Ans: whatever works for you. If graduating early is your goal- then take summer classes. If learning as much as you can about your industry before you graduate is your goal-then rack up the internships.

Definitely, an employer would prefer a candidate who has a lot experience within the field, rather than someone who graduated early and has little experience. However, it’s possible to take summer/semester classes and still hold internship at the same time. A lot employers will understand, and don’t really expect more than 3 full days from students anyway.

Well, what do you want to do?
As for internships, visit your school’s career office to try and figure out internship possibilities. Also, visit websites with internship listings (monstertrack, internshipprograms.com, internjobs…etc. Or, if you have a specific company in mind, go to their website and look to see if any internships are being offered. If not, e-mail the hr person and inquire about internships.

Hope that helps.

internship, definetly. companies don't really care if you graduate early, but internships are always impressive because they give you experience.
