Summer Internships for those not interested in Math or Science?

I want to do something special this summer. I'm already attending a JSA program at Georgetown, but that'll be over after the first week of July, and I want to spend the rest of my summer either doing research of some kind (Although I don't know what kind is out there exactly that matches my interests) or doing an internship.

However, whenever internships and/or research opportunities are mentioned on this forum, all I hear about are those that relate to math/science.

I'm personally interested in Political Science and International Relations, and would love to do work in that field, especially given my proximity to Washington, D.C. (I live about 30 minutes away).

Any suggestions on what's out there/how to obtain a great internship?

Contact your district representative or senator. Obtain their contact information by going to their website. I got a business card from my district rep. Call or e-mail to let him or her know that you're interested in interning.

Edit: If you live near DC, you should be able to acquire more opportunities. There are many internships and programs for students that live close to the White House.

Thanks, anyone else?

you can contact professors at your local college that teach political science, that is what i do.
