Summer internships

Where can I search an undergraduate summer internships for a communications(radio/tv) student?

Are you in college? Then start with the career center at your own college.

Are you in high school? Make an appointment with the guidance counselor who is in charge of helping students figure out their career goals.

I’m in my first year of college in Puerto Rico. But the problem I have is that right now I’m taking basic classes like English, Spanish and history because in two years I will transfer to another university and take concentration classes. So there are some internships that ask for students that have x amount of credits in communication classes and I have none because of the situation I’m in.

Contact the internship sponsors, and ask if they have anything available for students like you. Chances are, some will. And if none do, contact similar businesses/organizations near where you will be this summer, and ask what opportunities they might have. You also should speak with your advisor about taking some kind of communication course second semester. If you find that you don’t really like that field of study after all, you will have time to choose a different career direction.

Yeah I’m thinking about making the transfer in August because of that.
