<p>It's really important, and it would be hard to get one asking for rising seniors and juniors.</p>
<p>Most likely they will not look at your application. Companies look for juniors and seniors because they are looking for full-time hires after the internship.</p>
<p>So if you have 3 years to graduate, they would rather have someone available and have you wait your turn.</p>
<p>Also grades are a factor. A 3.5 is much better than a 2.0 especially at big companies but anything above 3.0 is good.</p>
<p>If you're talking about big companies, they will not consider you like the others, because you're too young. They are looking for future employees.</p>
