<p>How difficult is it to get a paid internship during the first couple of summers at wharton? I am referring to a non-ibank internship, btw. How helpful is the Career Services office for finding a summer internship?</p>
<p>It’s really not too hard. You have to be pro-active though, no one is going to send you an email one day asking for you to intern for them. When your a freshman it’s best to use whatever network you have. I didn’t have any business contacts so I used Wharton’s alumni network. You can find it on the career services page, just start emailing people and if you sound interested enough you can get a quality internship.</p>
<p>As a sophomore you can go the OCR route and get a rotational internship if you do well. If not, it’s back to networking.</p>
<p>Junior year is all OCR though</p>
