Summer Jobs

Who is getting one? I sometimes feel, on this board, as if I am the only person in the world who needs to work instead of going to a summer program or Costa Rica or something...

Oh, trust me, I will be working. I never have good luck though trying to get jobs...but I will definitely need one with college coming up.

I'm hoping my son will get a job being paid as a teaching assistant (the same job he volunteered to do for free last summer). Since he'll be a HS grad, they said they could pay him if he's interested & he enjoyed the job.

Assuming I don't get into either TASP or RSI (i.e. most probably), I'll be splitting my time between working and doing research with a professor at Georgetown. I just applied for a job at Starbucks last week, so if I get hired I'll be doing that.

Idk if i am. I doubt I'll have time. However, I may be forced by my parents to work at Greenfield Village. Ya know got to keep up the tradition of all my other brothers and sisters working there....how about no?

I'll be working for most of the summer, with a two-week intensive college class stuck in the middle there. Colleges are very understanding about people having to work and they really don't care what you do with your summer, so long as it's not sitting around and playing video games.

Yeah, I'm not so much worried about my college record here as feeling very alone in this crazy overachiever forum.

I'm hoping to get a piad internship at the local hospital, but if not, I'll be working at the local amusement park with my friends. :)
