Has anyone ever worked at a Hollywood Video, Family Video, or Barnes and Noble before? I am thinking of getting a job at one of them and I am curious about the positions there.

What about Receiver positions at B&N? Is that all behind-the-scenes work and no cash register stuff? I want to just be in the stock room supplying the store, that's all.

What about Hollywood Video or Family Video? Are the cash registers there easy to work? It's silly, I know, but I hate fumbling with the registers and having to deal with "quotas" on store credit cards and pushing special cards on guests. I just want something simple that I can go for four days a week this summer until college and do a job and leave. I'm not a people person, i don't want to deal with customers and their pickiness during my summer. lol. That's why I am aiming for something simple like video stores or stocking at B&N.

Thanks.

How much do they pay at B & N?

Just wondering...

Can you work at Barnes & Nobles while in high school?

Yeah, probably.

There's a couple high schoolers who work at Chapters (Canadian book store) by my dad's house.

At B & N in my area, seems you have to be at least 18

In my area, it seems that the employees at Barnes & Nobles are 18 or older.

I wanted to work at Blockbuster or B&N but didn't, still too young. I want somewhere with good pay and get maybe a discount or couple freebies for working there.

How old are you, schrizto?

I work part time at Barnes and Noble. 8 an hour, 40% off on books.

I have friends under 18 who work in local Barnes and Nobels.

What about Borders?

i work for hollywood
pm me if u have any questions

I'm 18 now and I need a job for the summer until September when I go to college (Sept. 16 exactly). I want an Inventory position at a store, or a video rental place. Does anyone know anything about the Inventory positions at Borders or B&N? Like who they hire and what hours they work? Thanks.
