I've had some summer jobs, including working as a secretary for a business that had just started then, tutoring various elementary/jr high students in areas from math to writing, and teaching a computer graphics class to elementary/jr high students. (: The pay was good too.

The thing is, all these jobs were about two to three months long (July, August, September). :\ I heard that colleges don't like it when you "job-hop," can't keep the same job for long, or do too many various jobs...

So would it be okay for me to list these jobs in the space provided, or would it simply be better if I don't mention these summer jobs?

Your jobs sound fine to me.......don't worry about it. You surely took the best opportunities offered at the time and you should be proud of what you did....tell the truth. I am sure you learned something from every experience you had.

These are summer jobs and expected to end when summer ends. You aren't expected to do the same job the next year. I can't fathom that you think it would be preferable to list nothing for the summer. Don't try to play games. Just give them the straight dope, straight up.

lol. yeah true, don't worry about job-hopping. there's nothing wrong with that at all. you're probably apprehensive that they might see you as someone indecisive and cannot stick to a work for a long time. there's no documented truth in that.

i think working for a summer is a good length they dont want people like working for 2 weeks and then quiting a summer is a long commitment and u cant be expected to continue with the same job for all ur highschool years
