Summer Leadership Programs

I'm a freshman in high school right now and want to do some type of leadership summit/institute/conference/program next summer (summer '10)

I looked online and found some stuff:
1. National Student Leadership Conference
2. LeadAmerica – National Leadership Summit
3. Global Young Leaders Conference
4. Brown Leadership Institute

Right now I'm leading towards the Brown Leadership Institute....
but I wanted to hear first hand from those of you who have actually attended any of these programs.

Oh and 1 more thing - Let me know if there are any other great leadership summer programs out there that I haven't already listed that I can apply to as a rising Sophomore

I went to Brown’s Leadership Institute last summer. It was such a great experience. You learn a lot, meet INCREDIBLE people, and it’s just so much fun. Brown gives you a lot of freedom, and there’s a great sense of community between all the Leadership kids (you all live together, separate from the rest of the Summer@Brown kids). I literally knew everyone in the program during my 2 weeks really quickly.

There are a lot of rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors, but no one really cares about what grade you’re in. You really get a good feel of what college life is like and the classes are really interesting and engaging. I would definitely recommend it. It was an amazing two weeks for me.

Those sound cool. I might take interest in one of them.
