Summer Melt: Will You Be Making a Last-Minute Change in College Plans?

<p>As temps here in New England climb above 90, my thoughts turn to "Summer Melt." That's the term college admission officials use when accepted students, who have sent in deposits and expressed intention to enroll, change their minds before September. </p>

<p>The majority of these late scratches are those who have accepted waitlist offers from other schools, but some withdraw for different reasons.</p>
