I'm currently entering college as an undecided major, and it seems like the summer is the perfect time for me to find out if I truly love music. Because my parents will contribute very little (at most $1000 including air fare expenses), I'm looking for a way I can experience music at little-none cost. If I do decide to major in music, I'm looking into composition and conducting. Over the summer, I want to do something related to those fields.

I looked into university summer courses, but I couldn't find one which offers scholarships (I probably won't qualify for financial aid). Anyone know of any universities which do?

Also, anyone know of any summer music opportunities that are no cost (or even paid)?
