Summer off campus housing and other misc questions...

Hey... so I know I'm in the enemy territory here, but I just really wanted to ask UCLA students about summer housing around UCLA area in general.

I'll be interning at Santa Monica, so I was hoping to find a cheap summer housing until August where I can commute by foot/bike since buses don't seem to go all the way up to where I'll be working at... Are places around olympic/s bundy ok to bike around? (or UCLA area in general.)

Are places around Santa Monica cheaper than places around UCLA area? (summer sublet at least anyhow) Also, when does session C exactly end? (I keep on reading session A & C and I figured it ended around mid Sept but just wanted to make sure... there's no session B right?)

Thanks!

I live in Santa Monica. The area around Olympic/Bundy is okay for biking (not amaaazing, but just okay).

People seem to be more willing to split rooms up at UCLA than in other parts of the city - so if you see an ad for $500/mo, chances are, it is for half a room.

The cost of a room or a sublet in the area of Santa Monica by Santa Monica College seems to be pretty reasonable in contrast to UCLA’s North Westwood Village.

The rent on my 1-bedroom is about the same as a 1-bedroom in North Westwood Village, except I’m down by El Cholo and there aren’t any undergraduates bunking up in a unit of my building.

Session C ends September 10. Hope this helps.
