Does anyone know if the Summer online courses count toward senior residency?

bump bump. Anyone know? Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

You haven’t said, but assuming you are in L&S, the answer would be yes if the total units in summer courses taken at Cal are at least 4. It doesn’t matter if the course is online or physical, as long as it is an official summer course, not a Berkeley extension class.

Here is their residency requirement policy from [Office of Undergraduate Advising: Summary of Degree Requirements](http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/requirement/summary.html) :

After you become a senior (with 90 semester units earned toward your B.A. degree), you must complete at least 24 of the remaining 30 units in residence in at least two semesters. To count as residence, a semester must consist of at least 4 passed units. Intercampus Visitor, EAP, and UC Berkeley-Washington Program (UCDC) units are excluded.
You may use a Berkeley summer session to satisfy one semester of the Senior Residence Requirement, provided that you successfully complete 4 units of course work in the Summer Session and that you have been enrolled previously in the College.
