Summer Plans (EC/Academic - List)

I'm very curious as to what everyone's summer plans are. I don't mean go to the beach with my girlfriend/boyfriend or work at a hot dog stand.. I mean something clearly productive. Something that would count for EC when you apply for grad school.

I'm looking for a great volunteering opportunity at domestic violence support center for women... but that requires a year commitment and I won't be in socal for that long. sigh

Oh.. by the way, the lady that works there directed me to this site: www.volunteermatch.com (for those who are interested in volunteering)

Post away!! I'm very excited to see what you guys are up to!

I thought grad school values pre-professional experience much more than EC's. Is this true?

I've been slowly trading away EC's for internship like employment.

You might be right... But I'm just wondering what I'm suppose to do over summer (besides working) that's productive.

I trolled around Grad School forums and some people were discussing going through Peace Corps (20 something month dedication - yikes!) It's pretty hardcore...

Well, I'll be running leadership workshops at some seminar for young students. I'm gonna try to get my NASD series 66 license too.
