Summer Plans

class of '13:

whatever I want

you guys have to be more laid back :cool:

So far? Working on IB stuff, common app + early action supplement, reviewing for any last minute SATs (though hopefully that won’t be necessary)… AND THAT’S IT cause nothing seems to be working out :(

I’ll probably end up volunteering/working (if I can’t get them to pay me) in a bookstore - and I’m cool with that.

Right now it’s looking like a rejection from all summer programs so I’m deciding between:

1) staying here, continuing working at the same 2 places & getting more hours (like 30 a week total)

2) going to boston to live with my extended family and working over there. Leaning toward this because my two closest friends will be in Egypt and Greece this summer so it’s looking a little boring without them.

Class of 2015. I might head up to Columbia, and visit the campus. Maybe a few other schools nearby. Probably going to take some classes, I’m going to do at least some sort of program. I want to learn at least one new thing over the summer.

I’m also going to be much stricter with dieting/working out (only downside to school besides homework), and go to the beach as often as possible.

studying for the AMC, getting acquainted with the next year’s AP classes,Study pharmacology, Study for SAT’s, prepare for college apps,try to volunteer at a pharmacy, study for Math II, Study for physics subject test, take economics, take world history.

class of 2014

Triple individual internships (2 research ; 1 @ ivy league college + 1 civic)

Waiting on summer program acceptances…

+

Studying for PSAT/SAT+ Chem SAT II
Watching The Dictator
Reading the Onion

UPDATE: Class of 2013:

Well, my summer isn’t 100 percent planned, but I know I’m spending a week at MIT for their E2@MIT program! (=

@waetori how do you have time for three meaningful internships and a summer program? It’s much more effective to focus on one thing and do it well.

'13. go to artificial intelligence camp. college apps. hang out a ton. learn a few programming languages…buy myself a tablet…haha

class of 14. Taking 1 or 2 summer AP courses online. I was thinking computer science A (should be pretty easy/medium) and AP european history (idk about difficulty). Ton of volunteering and summer assignments for next year

Dat feel when I can post that I’m (almost officially) going to SIMR :)

And somehow doing Precalc and college apps at the same time. Hmm.
