i was wondering if anyone has done this, take a precalc class over the summer and override into AP calc. Im pretty good at math, A/A+s in previous math classes, currently in Adv Alg Honors (Alg2 H).does it result in success?

i would recomend enjoying ur summer (partying, chillin , or anyhting that clears ur mind from school), especially since precalc is a joke- to take ap calc, all u need is a algebra II

btw, i skipped precalc, and never had a problem keeping up with anyone

I did Precalc-Trig one summer then went straight in BC calc and it's generally not a problem. The course you will be taking sounds solid as well, since they cover limits continuity and the derivatives of polynomials, so you should be all set for the first few weeks of calc as well. Go to BC if you can, this course sounds thorough.

I think that this is a good idea. I took the first half of geometry three summers ago, and I self-studied the rest before taking a challenge test to jump in Algebra II.

I also think its a good idea. I did integrated math 3 over the summer between junior high and high school, which allowed me to get a couple of years ahead in math. Also, you usually still have other time to do summer things before and after the class, it looks like you only have class in the mornings, so even factoring in a couple hours in the afternoon for homework, you'd still have time to enjoy the summer.
