I was wondering if you guys think that a summer course in Precalculus Honors (specifically the JHU Self Paced Precalc class) could prepare me well enough to succeed in AP Calculus BC. Also, what could I supplement the course with (good textbooks, references, etc.)? I really appreciate your help!
To be honest, you don’t need to know much precalculus to do well in BC. Just make sure you have a decent understanding of vectors, trigonometry, polar/parametric coordinates, and series/sequences.
^I feel that’s basically most of pre-calculus.
More importantly, does your BC course assume you have taken AB? Or does it include both?
Paul Foerster’s Precal and solution manual.
@MITer94 the first 60% of the year is AB Material, then BC for the rest of the way.
@neophite In that case, you should be fine - some BC courses assume you have taken AB.
