I’m sorry, this is probably under the wrong forum title, but does anyone know of any really good, competitive summer programs for high school juniors? I’m thinking specifically for humanities. I’ve checked out a few so far, but they’re all relatively expensive (the highest I saw went up to about 11,000 dollars) and I’m not sure if it would even help in my application.
Distinguish between expensive and competitive. The most competitive ones are not expensive at all (and usually freeof charge). Unfortunately, the NSLI-Y deadline has already passed (but you could apply next year for the summer after you graduate and for the year long program). TASP’s deadline is next month, so you might look into that.
With respect to helping your application, anything productive you can do over the summer will help. It’s what you make of it at the end of the day. Good luck!
