My sister really wants to do the Georgetown Summer Honors Intensive Program for High School students. Does anyone know how competitive it is and what the atmosphere is like? She is a sophomore in high school. She has good grades, but not straight As. She has a talent for Languages and speaks fluent Spanish, Intermediate Chinese and Introductory French. She really wants to go into writing or international relations.

Also she has recently gotten a couple Bs in Math and my parents are pushing her to take the pre-calculus class. I think this is a bad idea and she should focus on her strengths instead and do something she enjoys/loves for the summer. What do people think? She is willing to take the math class if it would help her get into her first choice school (Uchicago).
