Summer Program Financial Aid

This question deals with summer program financial aid instead of college based aid.

I am looking into programs for the upcoming summer to see if they will be helpful for my applications. I found two which interested me, St. Paul's Advance Studies program and Women's Technology Program at MIT. Both offer financial aid and say applying for aid does not affect admission, however I am weary.

Does applying for financial aid hinder my chance of getting into either of these programs? WTP is selective enough as it is.
Also I wonder if the process for applying to college is similar to the one I am undergoing now, even though neither of the programs I am applying to are looked at by colleges.

Personally, I would take them at their word if they state that FA need does not affect admission to the program. MIT is need-blind for college admissions, and I don’t think that is doubted by applicants. I don’t have any knowledge of the other program.

I’m not sure what you mean by the last part of this sentence. If you want to compare applying to the summer program with fr applications, go to the college website and see their requirements for fr admission.

I guess I was just feeling a little paranoid.
Thanks for the help!
