My parents were not on board with the whole BFA MT program so i have to make the most of the school I'm going to and what they have for theatre. Anyone know of good summer programs for college age students. I want to get extra training next summer in the states or abroad and have to start saving money now and would like to get idea of cost and deadlines to apply. Thanks!!!

I believe that CAP21, The NY Film Academy and Broadway Artists Alliance all offer summer programs for adults, but I don’t know much about them (or at least, the adult programs specifically). Best of luck :)

I would recommend CAP 21 over Broadway Artists Alliance. Their professional program is in NYC in June. It is audition based so you need to look into requirements right away. There is also a great program called The Performing Arts Project. It is full for this year but you should keep it in mind for next summer.

Both CAP21 and Broadway Artists Alliance programs are very well respected and don’t worry about auditions - they are businesses and will work something out if you’ve missed the audition cycle and they still have space available.

Thank you I will check them out

Just learned about this program. Looks incredible: [Backdoor to Broadway - Backdoor to Broadway](http://www.BackdoortoBroadway.com)
Run by current broadway producer!

[Musical Theater Summer Intensive | Berklee College of Music](http://www.berklee.edu/summer/musicaltheater/program-like.php)

Berklee School of Music has a 5 day intensive for both high school and college-age performers!

Also look into Circle in the Square’s summer program for MT in NYC.

I believe the Boston Conservatory has a program as well.

Neighborhood Playhouse and Atlantic Acting School both offer 6-week summer intensives in NYC, but they are both acting focused, not MT. I know someone who attended Atlantic last summer and thought it was terrific. But you might be looking for something more MT focused.
