Summer Program for high school student

<p>I am a high school student now in my 3th year of learning Mandarin. I am ethnically Chinese but I'm born in America and I speak mostly English at home. </p>

<p>I want to go to China this summer to immerse myself in the language. I'm thinking of probably a program at a local University, in which most of the other students in the program are from other parts of Asia such as Thailand, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, etc. I don't want a program with too many English native speakers because I'll most likely end up speaking English with them all the time.</p>

<p>Also, I'd rather stay in a dorm than live with a family. My parents dont feel comfortable with me living with a bunch of strangers. I'd also prefer staying in Mainland China rather than HK or Taiwan.</p>

<p>Anyone have any suggestion for such program?</p>

<p>Also, I’d prefer it to be in Guangdong because I have relatives there, but other parts of China is fine too. I’d probably visit them after if I have time, but I don’t want to live with them the whole time because I’m not very close with them and they speak Cantonese at home (I’m learning Mandarin)</p>

<p>I live in Shenzhen, Guangdong and I heard that Shenzhen University have a few foreign students, but not too many. I have no idea about the program’s duration, but Shenzhen Uni has a pretty good reputation. Check it out.</p>
