Summer Program for International Business?

I'm a High School Junior and for the upcoming summer, I plan to attend a summer program or internship.

I want to major in the field of International Business, especially an emphasis on China.

Are there any programs any of you know that would fit that category? or if not, maybe just an excellent program in International Business?

If not any of them, then can you direct me to where I can find an internship?

THANKS!

How long do you want to do it?

There's quite a few weeklong ones like National Youth Leadership Forum and stuff like that that has International Business subtopics.

Longer...you could always do college pre-college programs and take International business courses

As for internships...finding local ones is probably the easiest.

Oh! And studying abroad is a very feasible option if you want. Then you can go to China :)

studying abroad sounds like fun! Do you know what programs by anychance?

I live in LA County. So any internships around there would be great.

If you know by any chance, would it be possible to provide me some links?

Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to say... about 2-3 week long for summer program

internship can be up to 2 months

thanks again!

U Penn Summer Pre-College

I think CTY conducts one of their highschool-exclusive programs in Nanjing University, you could check that out.

Yeah, CTY sounds like a very prestigeous program, except I feel that it is too strict? From what I've read about it, they run it like a camp?

They do run it like a camp, but that's because there were 7th graders. I think the International Programs are high-school only so they're bound to be a little more lenient. Besides, as an American teenager, you probably don't want to be wandering off campus in the middle of Nanjing anyway.

Oh. I definitely don't want to be with a bunch of 7th graders. I don't think the experience won't be that mature in that case.

And wandering off campus is not a problem for me. I speak fluent Chinese. When I was in Beijing last summer, they thought i was a local. The only problem is probably the culture boundary as I might not know the local tradition/ways.

It seems like CTY is probably not the best for me in that case.

CIEE has a great program (it seems) but says it's only for univ. students for their program in Shanghai (Shanghai Normal or Donghua). Does anyone know if they are negotiable?
