So i was looking at different college programs online and I wasn't sure which one to do. I've done the Columbia one before and had a lot of fun. I'm a high school sophomore now and most of the programs are for juniors or seniors. I'm looking for something that's prestigious, fun, and looks good on college apps. Preferably something cheaper or free but not limited to that. I've looked into TASP but that's for juniors as well. Thanks for the help (:

hey
not sure what you’re necessarily looking into but for math (like PURE math), there’s the Summer Mathematics Research Training (SMaRT) program at Texas A&M-- 2 weeks/ free everything except travel; I went summer after sophomore so I know you would qualify: [SMaRT Camp, Department of Mathematics, Texas A&M University](Department of Mathematics, Texas A&M University)

then there sams at carnegie mellon (summer academy for math and science) also free and like i applied into that program but actually got “moved up” into their ap/ea program with a full ride so check it out! [SAMS: The Summer Academy for Mathematics + Science](http://www.cmu.edu/enrollment/summerprogramsfordiversity/sams.html)

notre dame also has the summer scholars; the price is “tbd” but you may want to keep an open eye for it: [Summer Scholars // Pre-College Programs // University of Notre Dame](Summer Scholars | Office of Pre-College Programs | University of Notre Dame)

and here are a few others! [Enrichment Programs](<a href=“MITES – MIT Introduction to Technology, Engineering and Science”>MITES – MIT Introduction to Technology, Engineering and Science)

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I’m also interested in the Carnegie Mellon Summer Academy. I have good grades, high enough SAT scores, etc. However, I’m a white, middle class male. I am not the picture of diversity. How many kids were there similar to me?
