I found this program called "Summer Study Programs" where you can earn 3 college credits in French and choose from 40 "enrichment" programs, centered at the Sorbonne, but in all my research online I've found NOTHING about it. It seems great in theory, but has anyone here heard of or participated in it? What's its reputation like? Would it be worth my time?

The website: BESTSUMMEREVER.COM
(so cheesy)

oh, and there's also no information on course selections on these "enrichment" courses, either. it seems like there's a distinct lack of emphasis on academics....

My D participated in Summer Study who also has a program at the Sorbonne. If you're interested, PM me and I'll fill you in.

Anyone have any experience with the summer study in paris program that Laurenthemom mentions?

i applied and the enrichment information comes in the mail [i just checked the site, and they do have the course selections up now].

seems pretty legit.

Its an outstanding program!!! a great experience…my nephew was a participant 2 years ago. Academics were great, staff was outstanding and helpful, and most importantly it was a fantastic value!!

My D did greatly enjoy this program - mostly because she was in Paris. She had a lot of autonomy and found the other participants interesting.
