Does acceptence/rejection into the sumer program reflect your chances for fall admission. Has anyone had experience with hte summer program? How competitive is the science progam? Thank You

I don't think it will make that much of a difference. I have had the summer programs in general described as "if you have the money and can pay," you can do it. That is an incredibly general blanket statement, but that is what I have heard through the gossip chain. Now does doing this program mean you will "automatically" get in here. Not really...I had an ex-gf (we dated all freshman year of college) who went to Northwestern. One of her roomates participated in the general summer program ND offers for rising seniors. she was waitlisted and never got in here...

It couldn't hurt to do the program, doesn't mean it will necessarily help though.

ive heard the same...that it doesnt really make or break your admission. Kinda just being able to pay for it is the only hardship in getting in the summer programs. But i think it couldn't hurt to add that onto my app. so im attending the Engineering program this upcoming summer. I was hoping for the science part on their summer experience program, but my teacher refrence didnt get her essay done in time. >:o Good luck this summer and on next fall's app. :)

I attended the Engineering program this last summer with a 50% scholarship that they provided for me. I still haven't received a decision letter from them yet, so I don't know if this post means anything, but I just wanted to say that it's not all about the money.
