Summer Programs Anyone?

I heard that colleges, like UC's, like to look at summer programs..? I was wondering if there were any good summer programs in the bay area, because I'm not sure if I have enough EC's..so far this summer I'll be taking Health Ed..and volunteering at UCSF..any suggestions?

check out Enterprise for High school students http://www.ehss.org/

They have a great internship program that got me a position at Caltrans as an engineering interns (which looked great on my app). It's the career exploration program in the summer jobs section and it's amazing.

Paid internships btw.

well the deadline is way past..but thanks! if they are willing to accept late apps and i go into the medicine field and i put that i did an internship in the medicine field on my college apps will that lower my chances of acceptance?..cause medicine is a huge major and that it doesnt really stand out to colleges where as art, or music does..so yea i was just wondering..

Which classes are the best to take? (in consideration of how it would look on your application.

As a general rule, the hardest classes (AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, etc)

sorry, i must have said it wrong. i mean the best summer programs (?)

Internships or research type work or lab assistant work in your interested fields are the best, though most are pretty hard to find/get accepted into.

they offer a program at uc berkeley, you should check into that

i live in Cypress, CA. Any close ones there? You guys are talking about like a month span of time right? Not like a one day go thing.

If anybody lives in Georgia, you really need to go to GHP. It's 6 weeks of amazing classes, and it's all paid for by the state. I had an incredible summer, and even though it's really selective, it's by FAR the best summer I've had.
