Summer Programs at a Specific University

I'd like to preface this by saying that I'm not asking if attending summer programs improves your general chances of getting into a college, because I'm pretty sure that it does.

I was wondering if attending a summer program at a university will improve your chances of getting into that specific university. For example, I am going to be attending the Michigan Math and Science Scholar summer program this summer, and I was wondering how much that would affect my chances. In other words, if they let you in once are they more likely to let you in again?

Unless it’s a highly selective, prestigious program, not really. Usually the summer programs that take place at these universities are very easy to be accepted to and don’t really give you a leg up over an applicant who would otherwise be more qualified than you.

is 50% highly selective?

Not really, sorry :(
