<p>Calisamom-- I notice your D? got accepted at Point Park, congratulations…is she going there? Did she get accepted elsewhere? I am thinking you are from California and wondering how you are feeling about your child possibly going to east coast.</p>
<p>CalMTMom - my D is also a rising senior here in SoCal. She is going to UARTS in Philadelphia for the month of July for their MT program. We visitied schools on the east coast last summer after her sophomore year and she really loved UARTS so she decided to do the summer program there to see what she thinks of the faculty and the classes. She is really excited to be spending a month in Philly.</p>
<p>My D is really hoping to get into a school on the east coast next year. It’s hard for me to think of her being so far away, but this is her dream and her life!</p>

<p>I received the email about 5 hours ago. It said that it was extremely competitive this year and they had to turn away a lot of talented people as they could only accept so many. Also, it said that this does not affect entry into the BFA program whatsoever, and urged to keep up with the training 
(In case anyone was wondering, I auditioned via dvd. It didn’t really show the best of my ability and it was done really rushed. Good luck to everyone else!)</p>

<p>bwayjunkie - My D is attending the MT summer program at UARTS which runs 4 weeks in July. I don’t know if there are any spaces left, but you might want to check there also.</p>

<p>My D has gone to Stagedoor Manor several summers, CMU last summer, and my S went to NYU Cap 21 summer (the high school, supervised one). All excellent. NYU used to have NO summer scholarships, then a VERY limited number. Unfortunately, you need a wealthy aunt, or other fairy Godmother to be able to pay for some of these programs! I would not expect Fin Aid for many summer programs. For non ‘advance audition’ training, and a change of scenery, I recommend a new summer camp on the west (best) coast - The Ranch, located in Northern California. I personally know the new owners and can say they are the right combo to provide a fun, safe and rigorous training environment in which to send your child to train for MT. They will mount a full Broadway style production in three weeks in addition to expected MT type classes. <p>Daughter’s going to session 1 of OCU Musical Theatre! Whoo hoo! Happy, happy child. She is also attending week 5 of the Rockette Summer Intensive at Radio City. Anyone have experience/comments about the Rockettes program?</p>

<p>D got acceptance to M-pulse MT today! Still waiting on Interlochen… If she gets into both, then the big decision … For those who are asking, it came by regular mail (not e-mail) and we are not far from Ann Arbor.</p>
<p>Are all rejections via email? Or do they send some through regular mail. I assume if you haven’t received a rejection it doesn’t mean you were accepted, correct?</p>

<p>My daughter’s boyfriend just sent in his DVD to Michigan last week, and heard today he got into MPulse MT. Heard today that my daugher got into OCU for the second session. We live in Michigan. I don’t know if he found out thru email or letter.</p>
