When I went to Cornell for one of their summer programs in 10th grade, I met a girl who was going to matriculate there in the fall. She told me that there was a summer program for accepted students where they could live on-campus for part of the summer and take some classes - to get a "head start" on their freshman year, so to speak.

My question is: does Cornell still offer this program? I checked their website, and haven't found much information on it. Anyone know anything about it, or have any links?

My interviewer told me about this, but I don't think it's something you can choose to be a part of. From what I understand, they pick people to be a part of it during the admissions process.

The summer program is called the "Prefreshman Summer Program." And almost all the students in that program come from minority backgrounds.
It is a really great program. If you are a minority and you are offered a spot in the PSP program then you should definitely join it. You will make alot of friends during the summer.

i just recently got into the heop program. is it full on schoolwork for the entire time you're there or just honing your basic math and science skills? i took the placement test which was real easy
